A little background on Pembroke:
Pembroke is an historic town that lends its name to the county. Amongst the notable buildings is Pembroke Castle - originally built in 1093 but rebuilt in stone in the 12th century. The medieval structure is Grade I listed, and was the birth place of King Henry VII of England. It is open to the public, despite being the largest privately owned castle in Wales. Nearby Lamphey has the remains of a 13th century Bishop's Palace.
